After several hours of uncertainty among Liam Payne's fans, forensic specialists who performed the removal of the body and subsequent inspection to establish the causes of death revealed what was found in the artist's body.

Payne died after falling from the third floor of one of the rooms at the Casa Sur hotel, located on Costa Rica street in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Prior to his accident, a hotel staff member alerted the authorities about a man who was in an “aggressive state that could be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.”

On the morning of Thursday, October 17, the media outlet 'El Clarin' revealed part of the report from the body examination carried out by the Forensic Medical Corps at the Judicial Morgue on Viamonte Street.

According to the report, Lyam Payne died from “multiple injuries” that caused “internal and external bleeding”. This finding is consistent with the approximately 10-meter fall from the room at the Casa Sur hotel and the initial version of the paramedics who attended the case: “He had injuries incompatible with life due to his fall, so we had to confirm the death. There was no possibility of resuscitation.”

The case is being handled by Prosecutor’s Office No. 16, headed by Andrés Madrea, with testimony collection led by Prosecretary María Florencia Lavaggi. It is worth noting that the full report has not been revealed and the causes of his death are expected to be indicated in the coming hours.

What was found in Liam Payne’s room?

The Mobile Criminalistics Unit of the Buenos Aires City Police entered the room located on the third floor of the Casa Sur hotel where a bottle of whisky, a lighter, a cell phone, and the room in total disarray were found.

The experts might inspect the cell phone to look for messages that may have led to the unfortunate event. A white powder was taken to a chemical laboratory to determine its nature, and medications like clonazepam and energy pills are part of the investigation.
